P2 Projects save SPSA $434,660 and generated revenue of $14,725,665 annually, while reducing dioxin emissions by 99% and diverting 520 tons of waste from the landfill. SPSA's environmental upgrades in 2005 earned ISO 14001 certification, a top international standard for environmental management to reduce impacts throughout the facility. SPSA reused waste-water for dust suppression, planted native species including a one-acre forest, and installed a liquid waste disposal system.
