Hermitage Foundation Museum

Buffers and Birds...Hermitage set aside 6 acres of riparian buffer and wetlands into a Land Conservation Understanding with the Elizabeth River Project, becoming the first museum to participate in the program. The site is a favorite among birders, and in one day, an experienced birder identified 72 different species. A multi-phased wetland restoration is planned for 2005.
