has attracted millions of dollars in funding and achieved an international
reputation for successful restoration. What's the secret of this success?
Great partners!
Finding partners who share our goals and
helping them develop ways to achieve those goals is what its all about.
Together, we're taking on new initiatives like restoring the entire
Paradise Creek tributary, expanding our popular River Stars program, and
beginning the clean-up of the toxic river bottom (affectionately known as
"cleaning Lizzy's bottom"). We're the public education and
support behind a $13.5 million project by the US Army Corps of Engineers
to restore Lizzy's bottom and 22 acres of wetlands.
At our 10-year milestone, the restoration
of our home river has never looked more promising. There are so many ways you can share the
excitement and contribute to the success of The Elizabeth River Project. Click
here to learn how....and
remember that YOU can make a difference!
